End-state map
Confirm each TX terminates at the intended RX.
Technical decisions
A connector can seat correctly while every transmit lane reaches the wrong receiver; polarity is an end-to-end mapping decision.
Duplex links require transmitter-to-receiver crossover. Parallel MPO/MTP links add connector keying and multiple lane positions, commonly implemented through Method A, B or C components.
No individual component “has the right polarity” in isolation. The end-to-end combination must deliver each transmitter to the intended receiver and preserve breakout order.
MingApex coordinates China-based sourcing, OEM execution and independent quality-control evidence. It is not presented as the product manufacturer or an accredited laboratory; supplier identity, method and evidence boundary remain explicit.
Draw the lane map before approving a trunk or cassette.
| Required input | What to record | How it changes the decision |
|---|---|---|
| Endpoints | Exact optic interfaces and TX/RX orientation | Defines required end state. |
| Connector format | LC duplex or MPO fibre count/keying | Sets available positions. |
| Trunk method | A, B or C and pin-to-pin map | Controls intermediate mapping. |
| Cassettes | Internal fan-out and adapter orientation | Can add or remove crossover. |
| Patch cords | A-to-B/A-to-A and key-up/down | Completes the channel map. |
| Lane order | Native and breakout lane assignment | Prevents child-port swaps. |
| Labels/tests | Port IDs, route ID and polarity record | Makes the field state auditable. |
Trace every lane through every component.
Confirm each TX terminates at the intended RX.
Verify method, keying and pin map by part number.
Record all fibre positions, not only overall light.
Validate link, lane alarms and breakout child order.
Lock labels, orientation photos and approved replacements.
These live SKUs anchor the physical family. Suitability still depends on the documented host, fibre path and validation scope.
A product page is a starting specification, not universal compatibility or lot-acceptance evidence.
Polarity passes only at the complete-channel level.
Approve when the documented channel maps every TX to its intended RX and all lanes pass continuity and live traffic.
A field flip is conditional only when it is designed, labelled and captured in the as-built map.
Stop when any cassette, trunk or patch-cord mapping is unknown.
Revalidate any endpoint, trunk method, cassette, patch cord, keying, breakout profile or repair change.
Retain a position-by-position test record and as-built map.
Record the exact host, port, data rate, reach, fibre path and commercial scope for Fibre polarity.
Include optics, fibre, connectors, power, cooling, software and operational constraints—not only unit price.
Set loss, telemetry, link, error, traffic and documentation criteria before selecting the sample.
Test the serialized sample on the recorded setup and close deviations with an owner and deadline.
Match the approved identity, revision, coding and critical attributes to the production lot and repeat order.
A/B/C components are combined without end-state calculation.
Key-up/down is confused with polarity outcome.
One lit lane hides swapped or dark lanes.
A replacement patch cord changes crossover.
Approval covers the recorded endpoints, adapter keying, trunk method, cassette/patch-cord types, lane map, labels and tested installed channel.
Provide endpoint optics, connector/fibre count, trunk/cassette/patch-cord PNs, route drawing and intended lane map.
A field flip is conditional only when it is designed, labelled and captured in the as-built map.
Revalidate any endpoint, trunk method, cassette, patch cord, keying, breakout profile or repair change.
Send the complete component chain and lane target for a controlled polarity review.
