Identity and construction
Match housing, latch, connector, wavelength, reach and temperature class to the frozen requirement.
Quality and evidence control brief
Turn one serialized sample into a controlled acceptance baseline for the later production lot—without treating it as universal compatibility proof.
Sample acceptance combines physical inspection, identity capture, optical checks and the project-specific host test. It is broader than a link-up screenshot and narrower than a family-wide approval.
The report should preserve serial number, labels, EEPROM identity, raw readings, test conditions, decision and every open deviation so the production lot can be compared against the same baseline.
MingApex coordinates China-based sourcing, OEM execution and independent quality-control evidence. It is not represented as the product manufacturer or an accredited laboratory; the commercial record names the supplier, method and applicable evidence boundary.
A usable Sample acceptance record identifies the subject, baseline, method, limit, sample plan, traceability chain and release owner.
| Required control | What must be recorded | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Product and order identity | Exact form factor, speed, reach, wavelength, connector, temperature class and quoted part number. | Evidence cannot be transferred safely when the SKU, revision, order line or lot is ambiguous. |
| Approved reference | One uniquely serialized approved sample plus frozen drawings, coding profile and buyer requirement. | The comparison baseline must be frozen before inspection results are known. |
| Method and equipment | Visual/label check, EEPROM readback, optical measurements, DOM review and named-host test plan. | A result without method, equipment or conditions cannot be reproduced or audited. |
| Acceptance limits | Buyer-approved dimensional, identity, optical, alarm, link and evidence criteria. | Pass/fail criteria must come from the approved requirement, not from the observed result. |
| Sampling plan | One or more serialized units selected to represent every requested variant; quantity stated in advance. | Sample quantity and selection determine what the decision can legitimately cover. |
| Traceability record | Photos, label/serial map, EEPROM record, raw readings, host output, operator and test date. | Raw files, photos, readings and serials must resolve to the same tested units. |
| Decision and owner | Pass, conditional pass, fail or retest with buyer/quality owner and production bridge. | Open deviations need an owner, closure rule and release status. |
Each check below produces evidence or a named deviation; a tick-box without the underlying record is not sufficient.
Match housing, latch, connector, wavelength, reach and temperature class to the frozen requirement.
Record product/carton labels and a unique serial before tests begin.
Compare vendor, part number, serial policy, checksums, capability and DOM fields.
Record calibrated optical readings, DOM values, thresholds and alarms under stated conditions.
Link to the Compatibility validation record for host, software, port, FEC and traffic scope.
These live SKUs help define the physical product family and inspection variables. They do not inherit evidence from another sample or lot.
Product pages define commercial and physical starting points. Inspection evidence applies only to the recorded sample, lot and order line.
The acceptance flow separates sample identity, measured performance, host validation and the later production-lot comparison.
Identify the exact product, order line, approved reference and buyer requirement for Sample acceptance.
Record the instrument or inspection method, sample plan, units, tolerances and pass/fail rules before results are known.
Tie raw readings, photos, files and exceptions to serial numbers, lot identity, date and responsible operator.
Record pass, conditional pass, hold, fail or retest together with deviations, owner and closure condition.
Release only the recorded quantity and preserve approved identities, revisions and change-control triggers for the next order.
The same observation can lead to different decisions depending on the approved scope, open deviations and shipment risk.
Agree the exact variant, serialized quantity, host tuple, tests, limits and required raw files before the sample ships.
Only named deviations with an owner and closure date may remain; they must not disappear when the production PO is issued.
Identity mismatch, missing raw data, out-of-limit reading, host instability or a changed sample requires hold and retest.
No automatic extension: compare production coding, optical checks, labels and declared changes with the approved serialized sample.
Use these redacted sample records to specify required fields. They are process references, not proof for an unrelated product or order.
A different configuration may not represent the intended order.
A result can be labelled “pass” only after criteria are frozen.
Photos and readings without unit identity cannot form a baseline.
Production may change when no comparison gate is defined.
Approval covers only the recorded sample, specification, inspection method, named host setup and stated acceptance limits. Production requires a documented sample-to-lot comparison.
Provide the exact specification, intended host/port, acceptance limits, sample quantity and evidence format.
Only named deviations with an owner and closure date may remain; they must not disappear when the production PO is issued.
No automatic extension: compare production coding, optical checks, labels and declared changes with the approved serialized sample.
Send the exact product, host context, sample quantity, limits and evidence files required before production approval.
